Hutton Cranswick

Hutton Cranswick is a village Scout Group with a strong sense of identity and community. We split or meetings between the Methodist Hall, The Village Green and Centenary Wood as well as other activities elsewhere, and we like to be seen round the village doing Scouting.

We mainly have young people from within our village and surrounding area, though we do also have some that travel further to join us.

We have had a Group here in the village since 1944 on and off and then consistently here from 1975 so you could say we're well established!

Our Leaders are all normal people with normal lives that volunteer their time to run Scouting for us. We have some adults that have been a Scout themselves and some that haven't, and we have some that have been a Leader for 40 years, and some that have just started!

We have Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in our village that run a fun and varied programme where young people enjoy themselves whilst learning many skills they'll have for life.

Beavers (Ages 6–8)

Cubs (Ages 8–10½)

Scouts (Ages 10½–14)

Volunteer With Us

Scouting wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour a week or a few days a year, there’s a role for everyone. From leading activities to helping behind the scenes, volunteering with us is a rewarding way to make a difference in young people’s lives, and have fun doing it!
