2nd Driffield

New Paragraph

2nd Driffield Scout Group has been part of the Driffield community for more than 80 years, opening its doors 83 years ago and supporting generations of young people to learn new skills, build friendships and experience adventure. Over the decades the group has grown and evolved, with a Beaver Colony added around 40 years ago to welcome younger members, and more recently the introduction of Squirrels so that even the youngest children can begin their Scouting journey.

Today the group offers opportunities for young people to develop confidence, teamwork and practical life skills in a fun and supportive environment. We are fortunate to have our own Scout Hut on Driffield Main Street, which provides a dedicated base for our meetings, activities and events, and allows us to remain firmly rooted in the heart of the local community.

For more than eight decades 2nd Driffield Scout Group has relied on the commitment of volunteers and the support of local families, and we continue to build on that tradition by offering adventurous, inclusive Scouting to young people in Driffield and the surrounding area.

Squirrels (Ages 4–6)

Beavers (Ages 6–8)

Our Beavers section is where the adventure begins! Beavers enjoy a wide range of activities that help them explore the world around them, from nature walks and crafts to games and storytelling. It’s all about building confidence, making friends, and having fun in a safe and supportive environment.

Cubs (Ages 8–10½)

Cubs take the next step in their Scouting journey with even more exciting challenges. From camping and hiking to learning new skills and earning badges, Cubs develop independence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility, all while having a blast!

Scouts (Ages 10½–14)

Scouts take adventure to the next level with even more opportunities to challenge themselves and grow. Whether it’s mastering survival skills, taking part in community projects, or going on exciting camps and expeditions, Scouts build resilience, leadership, and confidence. It’s all about discovering what they’re capable of, and having a great time doing it!

Volunteer With Us

Scouting wouldn’t be possible without our amazing volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour a week or a few days a year, there’s a role for everyone. From leading activities to helping behind the scenes, volunteering with us is a rewarding way to make a difference in young people’s lives, and have fun doing it!
